Are you looking for a wonderful way to raise funds for a cause or a charitable organization?

Consider raising funds with coffee. While some people plan huge events which require bags of organization, arranging a coffee morning and encouraging attendees to donate can be a low-cost way to begin your fundraising efforts.

What You Need For Your Coffee Morning Fundraising Event

Fundraising Coffee Morning

Fundraising Coffee Morning. Invite a few people for a fun morning with friends and ask for a donation.

One of the reasons that this works well is because the supplies needed are relatively inexpensive and you can probably get members of your organization to donate some of them. If people donate coffee, tea, milk, sugar and water — and a bit of their time — you will soon have everything you need for a successful coffee morning. Who knows? Coffee and tea suppliers may even be willing to donate their products in return for some acknowledgement of their sponsorship. To make your coffee morning really successful, get some volunteers to donate cake and biscuits. There’s no better accompaniment to a cup of coffee.

Who Can Hold A Coffee Fundraiser?

The great thing about a coffee fundraiser is that it will work whether you are a small school group or a large organization. Coffee and cake or coffee and biscuits are a part of people’s daily routine and bring a certain comfort. That makes it easy to persuade people to donate to your cause. One of the key elements of success is having a comfortable place for people to sit and drink their coffee. A church hall or meeting room can be an ideal location.

The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning

Fundraising with coffee isn’t just for small groups. Sometimes those small groups can contribute to a bigger cause. A good example of this is the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning which has been running since 1991 to benefit the Macmillan Cancer support charity in the UK. It started in 1990 when an organization decided to run its regular coffee morning but donate the proceeds to the cancer charity. The idea soon caught on and in 1991 the first annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning was held. Since that time it has raised millions to support cancer treatment.

The other lesson of the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is that there are many different ways to fundraise with coffee. People are now serving coffee at quizzes, garden parties, karaoke nights and more in order to be part of this annual event. It just goes to show that you can combine coffee, fun and fundraising to everyone’s benefit.
