Developing a community is a natural process of interaction between blog commenters.
It’s really easy and can apply to any blogs that you visit as long as they have their comments set up in RSS feed. And you don’t need to log into forums or networks. As an added bonus many blogs like Pledging for Change have added twitter names so you can also connect with your favourite commenter/contributor on twitter too. This is is especially great if you are having an ongoing conversation and “gelling” or as in the name of the game they call it “networking”
Here is a complete list of the latest comments on ethical business and green living posts.
(our RSS feed for you to subscribe to if you wish to keep updated) and a link back to the original post so you can join the conversation. Maybe you will find new ideas and new connections on twitter or visit each other sites to connect on there too!
Blog Commenting really does make this rockin world go round!
Don’t forget all the usual comment protection rules apply and spam is not tolerated.
Links to unethical sites and blogs will simply be trashed. (Why on earth would we want a site on ethical business and green living linking out to bad neighbourhoods?)
Debate and constructive commenting is supported but negative argument is not.
Comments are checked regularly for human spammers that copy and paste text from other posts on the web.
Community is about conversing with people and not a business name. You are welcome to use your name@business as we use KeywordLUV so you can still generate a link back to your site with a keyword.

Blog commenting is good for all sites, problem is you need enough visitors to get a good conversation going. So I’ll add to that here, and get the ball rolling. More opinions from people please?
Congratulations then Dean. You are our 1,673rd blog comment here on P4C :-) And They just keep coming and coming now so people are really starting to connect and get to know each other nicely too. Which is what blog commenting is all about… Community http://pledgingforchange.com/comments/feed
I agree that you need lots of visitors to get the conversation going. So, what are the common comment protection rules?
There are several plugins that you can install to protect your blog from spam and I mention a few of them here Mani http://pledgingforchange.com/business/seo-and-social-media/dofollow-comments-and-your-sites-reputation.php
blog commenting is just like making a mini forum in your site. It also helps your readers to interact with each other. The bonus part here is its search engine friendly. Search engines like rich content, so if conversation keeps going on, then rich content is being published without noticing it.

That just about sums it up nicely Maynard. “blog commenting is like a mini forum”. And if you can find blogs that are in your niche which have commenting that is easily accessible and better still with dofollow back link or keyword back link then you really are onto a winner as far as backlinking is concerned. But moreover blog commenting can genuinely let people know who you are and get to know you better by connecting with you. I see you don’t use gravatar which would etither add your photo or even your business logo though Maynard. I personally thinks a great tool to use as people also recognise images sometimes better than names.
Yes, use the personal rather than business touch when in the blogging community.

I would have to agree with Dean, using a blog is a great way to generate traffic as well as allowing comments to encourage community involvement.
Thanks for the information. Good to know the posting rules and how they affect posting with a business name.
